Ingredients
2 slices sourdough bread
2 tsp butter
1–2 tbsp Beerenberg Caramelised Onion Relish
1 tsp Beerenberg Dijon mustard (light smear)
2-3 slices leg ham
30g cheddar cheese
Fresh chives, finely chopped
Chilli flakes
Salt flakes
Directions
Lightly butter the outside of each slice of sourdough bread. On the inside of one slice, spread a thin layer of Dijon mustard. On the other slice, spread 1–2 tablespoons of caramelised onion relish. Layer with leg ham and cheddar cheese.
Close the sandwich and toast in a pan, sandwich press, or grill over medium heat until golden and crisp, and the cheese is melted. Remove from heat and top with finely chopped chives, a sprinkle of chilli flakes, and salt flakes.
