Role Overview
Reporting to the National Independent Account Manager, you will service and grow South Australia’s independent grocery and specialty retail network, increasing brand visibility and product range through relationship-led selling and in-store execution.
About the Person
You are a relationship-first seller who enjoys partnering with retailers to deliver practical results in store. You plan your territory, run a disciplined call cycle, keep clean records and communicate clearly with both customers and internal teams. Self-driven and personable, you balance autonomy with collaboration, use insights to expand ranging and promotions, and are confident working with basic digital tools and ordering platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Grow existing accounts and prospect new independent customers
- Promote new lines and seasonal activity, support merchandising in key stores
- Maintain accurate customer data, call cycles and timely reporting
- Visit customers on a regular cycle, ensure promo participation and maximise range
- Collaborate with the sales team and contribute to continuous improvement
- Assist with the growth of the Domestic Food Service as required
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
- Proven sales and account management success in supermarket, retail or related sectors
- Experience in supermarket, retail or related sectors, confident to up sell and cross sell
- Strong time management, communication and problem-solving
- Customer-centric self-starter who works well in a team
- Proficiency with MS Office, food manufacturing exposure advantageous
