Step back in time this History Week with a guided tour that uncovers the rich tapestry of Hahndorf’s past.

Begin your morning at the picturesque Beerenberg Farm, where your host will welcome you. From there, enjoy a gentle walk to the Hahndorf Archives, a beautifully curated collection of historical documents, photographs, and artefacts that trace the lives of early settlers and the evolution of this iconic village.

Led by Hahndorf local Natasha, this immersive experience offers a glimpse into personal letters, family records, and community treasures that bring Hahndorf’s heritage to life.

After the tour, return to Beerenberg for a relaxing Devonshire Tea served in the farm café—complete with freshly baked scones, a selection of Beerenberg jams, cream and a choice of tea or coffee.

You will meet in the foyer at Beerenberg’s Visitor Experience Centre. The short walk to the Hahndorf Archives takes you through the scenic grounds of Beerenberg Farm — we recommend wearing comfortable, weather-appropriate footwear.
