Preheat the oven to 140°C (fan‑forced).
Carefully remove the rind from the leg of ham, leaving the fat layer intact.
Using a sharp knife, lightly score the fat in a diamond pattern, taking care not to cut into the meat.
Insert a clove into the centre of each diamond.
Place the ham in a large, deep baking dish.
Brush the glaze generously over the entire surface of the ham.
Roast for 1.5–2 hours, basting every 30 minutes.
Continue cooking until the ham is deep golden, glossy, and sticky.
Remove from the oven and allow the ham to rest for 20 minutes.
Brush the ham again with remaining thickened glaze before serving for a final, shiny finish.
