Slow Cooker French Chicken (Coq au Vin)


1kg diced chicken thighs

200g roughly diced streaky bacon

12 whole shallots

200g diced Swiss brown mushrooms

3 diced carrots

200ml red wine

1 tin diced tomatoes (400g)

1 x Beerenberg Slow Cooker French Chicken (Coq au Vin)


Follow these easy steps:

Heat 1 tsbp of oil in a pan.

Brown chicken, bacon and shallots before adding to a slow cooker with the remaining ingredients, including the contents of this jar rinsed out with the wine. Stir to combine.

Cook on high for 2.5 hours or low for 5 hours.

Serve with mash potato, green beans and crusty bread.
