Brownies with Strawberry & Hazelnut

Ingredients

200g butter

300g dark chocolate solids

250g SR flour

2 eggs

200g caster sugar

Salt

¼ tsp vanilla paste

Strawberries halved

½ cup of coarse crushed hazelnuts


Directions

Preheat your oven to 160c and line a 23cm square brownie tin.

In a microwave proof bowl melt the chocolate and butter together and transfer to a mixing bowl. Whisk in eggs one at a time. Add in caster sugar and combine thoroughly. Gently fold in SR flour with vanilla and a pinch of salt.

Pour into lined brownie tin and spread evenly. Spread hazelnuts and arrange strawberry halves on the brownie. Bake for 50 minutes.

Allow to cool before portioning.
